Copper Roofing

Roof sheets, flashings, gutters, downpipes, vents, rainwater heads and domes are available in copper.  Owners and architects choose copper for its appearance, constructability, fire resistance and longevity.  The life span of copper offsets the initial higher cost of copper over other roofing materials.  In heritage applications copper is the preferred material for valleys, rainwater heads, gutters, downpipes and box gutters.

Coppersmithing is a highly technical skill and while it is more labour intensive than other modern metal roofs, the end result is a beautiful and long lasting, solidly constructed roof.  The surface of copper weathers gracefully over time from the bright  "shiny copper" colour to a natural green patina.  This patina both protects and adds distinction.  This green colour (verdigris) is highly sought after by those wanting an historical appearance.

Some of our copper projects have been Goulburn Court House copper dome and finial, copper turret and covered walkways Central Plaza (Myer city and Centrepoint) , Sels Building Sydney Casino, Dame Eadith Walker Hospital, Sydney Cove Redevelopment Authority,  Rose Bay Golf Club, Sydney University, British Seaman's Hotel at the Rocks.
